The apple of his parents’ eyes, dearly beloved by his grandparents, and a delightful bundle of joy who touched all who beheld his infectious smile – this is the legacy of Josiah Mi’King Razafindrajery-Bryant. Baby Josiah entered this world on September 4, 2016. His parents, Carline Edwards and Malik Bryant, bubbled over with joy as they watched their son grow. Doted upon by all, Baby Josiah was affectionately known by the following names: Jojo, Siah, Yoyo, King, & Lil Mans.
On any given day, Josiah could be seen cradling his blue Teddy Bear, named Jojo after his owner, of course! His favorite pastimes included making everyone smile, loving to hear others sing to him – his favorite tune was none other than “Promises” by Jhene Aiko, testing his lungs for the world’s best baby screaming contest, and working out with his mom, which consisted of Baby Josiah dancing, standing, and walking on her feet as she worked out. Of course, his favorite person had to be his mom, whom he would cry for whenever anyone else held him. Besides that, Baby Josiah never wanted for much, barely crying, instead choosing to be a people person. Imagine, at just five months old he was a showstopper, stealing all the attention and flashing that million-dollar smile for ALL the ladies!
“Josiah added a lot to our lives – happiness - and my whole life revolved around him; he helped me with my anger problems and showed me how to value life more. I changed all for Josiah – to live a better, happier life,” said Josiah’s Mom, Carline Edwards.
Although Baby Jojo is now sleeping, awaiting the return of our wonderful Lord and Savior, his legacy lives on. After his passing on February 25, 2017, Josiah’s family donated his organs to save the lives of other babies, a precious gift from God from their family to others.
Josiah is survived by his parents, Carline Edwards and Malik Bryant; maternal grandmother, Clarisse Razafindrajery; maternal grandfather, Charles Edwards; paternal grandmother, Allison Bryant; paternal grandfather, Darian Green; maternal great-grandmother, Felicite Randrianasolo; paternal great-grandmother, Beverly Bryant; maternal great-great grandmother, Celestine Razafiarimalala; brother, Malik Bryant, Jr.; aunts, Claire Edwards; Nicole Edwards, La’Tai Powell, La’Tasia Powell; uncle, La’Tavis Powell; cousin, Nevaeh Hunter; and a host of family and friends.
