Julius Charles Erckert, 91, of Columbus, died Sunday, October 11, 2015. He was born August 17, 1924 in Columbus to the late Julius and Elizabeth (Ramsey) Erckert. Julius was a graduate of Pataskala High School and enjoyed Euchre and the outdoors. He was retired with 43 years from Mathias Service Station and past employee of Falter Packing Co. He was a past member of the Marion Twp. Fire Dept. and Moose Lodge #11. He was a man with a big loving heart. He is preceded in death by his wife of 51 years Margaret Mae (Shinn) Erckert, sisters Martha Harris, Viola Spearman and Elizabeth Henson. Julius is survived by sisters-in-law Bernice Crookham and Margaret Shinn, nieces, nephews and other extended family. Family will receive friends Friday, October 16, 2015 at SCHOEDINGER EAST CHAPEL, 5360 E. Livingston Ave. from 10 AM until time of graveside service at 11:30 AM at Green Lawn Cemetery.
