Jungsoon Kim Cho passed away on Monday, May 10th, 2021, in Westerville, Ohio at the age of 94. Born on February 10th, 1927 in South Korea, she served as head nurse of her unit during the Korean War, and met her husband, Boong Youn Cho while training in Oklahoma. They were married in Korea in 1954, had three children, and moved to Central Ohio in 1962. An energetic and committed wife and mother, Jungsoon imparted to her children a deep appreciation of the value of education and lifelong learning. Her long, enduring partnership with Boong Youn included not just the raising of their children, but the management of rental properties, finances and a happy, enduring marriage based on shared values, love and deep mutual respect. Fiercely independent, deeply loyal and vital into her 90s, Jungsoon remained full of hope, drive and determination until her peaceful passing. In her last years, she lived with her loving daughter, Helen, who deeply treasures the precious time they had together.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Dr. Boong Youn Cho, and son Dr. Tony Dongsun Cho. She is survived by her loving daughters, Helen Cho (Richard Miller), and Dr. Judy Cho (Dr. George Kenneth Haines III), and grandchildren George Kenneth Haines IV (Samantha Plotner), Theodore Ross Haines, Jason Cho, and Samantha Cho and Grace Cho (daughter-in-law). The family extends their deepest appreciation to Jungsoon's dedicated health care providers. Arrangments entrusted to SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST.
