

Karen E. Wagstaff, 65, died at Doctors Hospital Friday, April 1, 2016 following a brief illness. She was a beautiful woman who was the center of her family. She was a Librarian at Westland High School and then at Briggs High School; she retired in 2002. She was a lifelong active member of Concordia Lutheran Church. Karen loved good books (especially murder mysteries), mochas, crochet, cross-stitch, bacon, burgers, and the beach; above all she loved her family and friends. She was generous and giving person, who saw the best in everyone. Karen was a fierce supporter of her children and a loving grandmother. She is preceded in death by her son, Scott Anthony Wagstaff and father, Paul Koegler. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Reggie Wagstaff; children, Suzann, Heather, and Ryan Wagstaff; grandchildren, Christopher Jaxon and Ryder McKinley; her mother, Harriet Koegler; brother, Ron (Kathy) Koegler; niece, Michelle Koegler; nephew, Steven Koegler, many other relatives and friends. Friends will be received from 2-4:00 p.m. and 6-8:00 p.m. Thursday, April 7, 2016 at Schoedinger Hilltop Chapel, 3030 West Broad Street, where a funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 8, 2016; interment will follow at Sunset Cemetery.
