Katherine Julia Ely, age 74, of Columbus, Ohio passed away peacefully on March 23, 2013 at Doctors Hospital. She was born October 28, 1938 to the late Fred and Frances (Hoy) Hiltbrunner. Katherine retired from Sun TV with over 20 years of service. She was affectionately known as “mom” to many. She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Charles William Ely of the Laurels of Hilliard; children, Marcena (Jim), Marvena (Mike), Lorraine (Gary), Charlie (Charlene), Ernest and Christopher; sister, Rebecca “Becky” Dolby; nephew, Tim; 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. A private family service will be held at the Laurels of Hilliard.
