

Kathleen Ann Biel, age 28 of New Albany, passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2014. Kathleen was born in Columbus, daughter of Louis Biel and Mary Hall. Kathleen attended both Gahanna Lincoln High School and New Albany High School and was an active member of Quest Community Church, Westerville. Kathleen's life may not have been as long as some, but her life was fuller than most. She was an inspiration to many and was a participant in advocacy which resulted in a major expansion for Ohio community based care. She enjoyed the ocean, swimming, shopping and fashion, and traveling, particularly to Disney World, where she made countless trips and was referred to as the world's foremost Disney authority. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Dr. and Mrs. Adolph L. Biel and Dan and Cleo Mooney of Charleston, West Virginia, great grandparents, Henry and Cecelia Smith, cousin, Dr. Ann Kinzer-Clark who greeted her at Heaven's Gate, and nurse of many years, Joyce Stollar. She will be greatly missed by her parents, Louis Biel and Mary and Robert Hall; brothers, Mandale Satterfield and Eric Biel; step-siblings, Autumn, Courtney, Sarah, and Robert Hall Jr.; Aunts, Mary Rogers and Dolores Goette; cousins, Jane Marks, Sarah Prochoska, Andrew and Patrick Clark; primary caregiver for 23 years, Patty Bennett; nurses, Karen Ackerman, Rebeka Wickerman, and Carol Miller; case worker, Erika Neinburg; and many other extended family members, dear friends, pastors, physicians and caregivers. Special thanks to Dr. Gary Noritz of Nationwide Children's Hospital for his great mission to Kate and children like her. Family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Friday, January 24, 2014 at Quest Community Church, 4877 Central College Rd., Westerville. Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M.
