

Kayla Marie Cook, age 23, a Columbus State Community College accounting student, passed away September 22, 2012. Kayla was raised as a young child in South Holland, Illinois later moving to Columbus, Ohio in 4th grade. Kayla is the daughter of David and Tina Cook and big sister to Dillon and Emma Cook. She graduated in 2007 from Olentangy High School. Kayla’s big blue eyes and gorgeous smile lit up any room. She will always be remembered for her bright, funny, and beautifully young personality. She loved giving hugs, listening to music, people watching, playing games and attending school. Kayla was truly a blessing to her family and friends. She taught us to slow down, not sweat the small stuff, live life in the moment, and be thankful for the days we have. She is preceded in death by her infant sister, Faith Ashlyn Cook, and paternal grandmother, Mary Lou Cook. She will be greatly missed by her loving parents, David and Tina Cook; siblings, Dillon and Emma Cook; best boyfriend ever, Andrew Schulte; paternal grandfather, Sam Cook; maternal grandparents, Thomas and Sue Ann Reynolds; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Dave and Tina to assist with the funeral expenses and they request that friends may share with the family by bringing any photos you may have of Kayla along with your favorite memory from 3-7 P.M. Prayer service will be at 3:30pm. Sunday, September 30, 2012 at SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 6699 N. High St. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 A.M. Monday, October 1, 2012 at St. Peter Catholic Church, 6899 Smokey Row Rd. Father Justin Reis, Celebrant. Interment Resurrection Catholic Cemetery.
