Kenneth Ira Seely

Kenneth Ira Seely, age 82, of Columbus, Ohio passed away peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday, March 3, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eva M. Seely (Dixon) and Emmett R. Seely, and his sister, Donna Hildreth. Kenny was a 1956 graduate of Central High School and retired after 30 years with Wonder Bread. He was an Army Veteran, member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, and Teamsters Local 386. Kenny was an avid bowler and golfer, and loved his Browns, Buckeyes, and camping. He was the third generation working and operating in Seely's Hardware Store in Columbus, and a handyman by trade. Kenny was a lifetime member of West Park United Methodist Church. But more than anything, he encompassed tradition and loved his family. Kenny is survived by his wife of 35 years, Donna J. Seely (Ballard); his daughters, Yvonne (Peter) Katris, Elizabeth (Thomas) Leitnaker, Kelly (Ronald) Ballard, Kim (Jay) Soczka, and Suzi (Scott) Bailey; nieces and nephews; 7 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Kenny's family will receive friends 5-7pm, Friday, March 5th and 9:30-10:30 am Saturday, March 6th at Schoedinger East, 5360 E. Livingston Avenue, Columbus, Ohio. His family will hold a graveside service 11 am on Saturday at Green Lawn Cemetery, 1000 Greenlawn Ave. Columbus, Ohio.
