Kent B. Vedder, age 58 of Dublin, passed away April 15, 2018. Kent was born in Detroit, Michigan, son of the late Robert and Mary June Vedder. He graduated from Purdue University where he received his Bachelors of Science in Engineering. Most recently, Kent had been working with various healthcare start-up companies. Kent was a very energetic, outgoing and devoted family man who never met a stranger. He valued family and friendships. He was a dedicated husband to his wife Nancy for 23 years and an extremely supportive father to his daughters Elizabeth and Allison of whom he was most proud. He was also involved with many of their activities throughout the years. He coached softball, soccer, volleyball, and quickly became a huge supporter of their marching band. Kent's happy place was the family cabin at Indian Lake. He enjoyed time spent together there, whether he was relaxing, boating, or riding his jet ski. In addition, Kent enjoyed watching sports, woodworking, and was a great handyman who could fix almost anything. He will be greatly missed by his loving wife, Nancy; and cherished daughters, Elizabeth and Allison; brothers, Steve (Maureen) and Blake (Kathy); sister-in-law, Carol Martin; nieces and nephews, Phil Martin, Jason Vedder, Katie Miller, Meredith Vedder, Abbey Kaiser, and Evan Smith; special cousins, Diane Weyandt and Carol Murphy; and best friend and faithful companion, Samson. Funeral services will be held at 4:30 P.M. Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Northwest United Methodist Church, 5200 Riverside Dr., where family will receive friends from 1 P.M. until time of service Saturday.
