Larry Darnell Cummings

Larry Darnell Cummings, age 69, of Columbus passed away Monday, February 10, 2025 at home. He was born on November 19, 1955 the only child of the late Willie Joe and Lois (Griffin) Cummings. Larry was employed by OSU Pharmacy Department. He enjoyed coaching girls tennis at Bishop Hartley High School, photography, and going on cruises. Larry was also a volunteer coach at Wolfe Park Tennis Association, and a Union Steward in the Communication Workers of America AFL-CIO. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Beverly (Johnson) Cummings; daughters, Danielle (Elvis) Eaton and Dominique (Donovan) Lomax; grandchildren, Elson L. Eaton, Maya E. Eaton, and Zephoria Lomax; aunts, Dorothy Mack and Lucinda Thompson; uncles, Murray Griffin and Rufus Griffin; a host of cousins and friends. A special thank you to “Saint” Alice Johnson for her assistance for many years especially during these last difficult months. A graveside service will be held 10:00 am Friday, February 21, 2025 at Green Lawn Cemetery, 1000 Green Lawn Ave. Columbus, OH. Arrangements entrusted to Schoedinger East.
