Laura Becker

Laura Patricia Becker (Baughman) went to be with the Lord on June 18, 2014, following a brief illness.

Laura was born Oct. 6, 1932, in Roseville, Ohio, to Helen and Walter Baughman. She is preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Tom Becker, and brother, George Baughman, and sons, Pat and Jeffrey Paul. She is survived by daughter, Chris (Dennis) Waites of Columbus; grandchildren, Andrew of Westerville, and Becca of Columbus; sister, Jean Huston of Hebron; brother, Robert Baughman of Hebron; nieces, Penny Loeffler of Pataskala; Patty Huston-Holm of Canal Winchester; Carrie Bell of Arizona; Leanne Evans of Alaska; one nephew, Glenn Evans of Utah; several great- and great-great nieces and nephews; and special friend, Bonnie Schmitz of Canal Winchester. Laura worked as a secretary for 25 years for Robert J. Perry and Associates. An avid reader, her biggest delight was family, especially her grandchildren. Family will receive friends from 2- 4 and 6-8 PM Friday, June 20, 2014 at SCHOEDINGER EAST CHAPEL, 5360 E. Livingston Ave. Funeral service will be held at 10 AM Saturday, June 21, 2014 at Eastview United Methodist Church, 1045 Ross Rd., followed by burial at 11:30AM at Kirkersville Cemetery.
