Lela M. Rodney, age 95, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 12, 2017 at Mill Run Care Center. Lela was born in Champaign Co. on April 14, 1922 to John and Nettie (Hayes) Lugar. She worked for many years at Westinghouse in their Cafeteria. Lela was a member of Friends Worship Center. Family and friends meant the most to Lela. She loved to be social and enjoyed people. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joseph Lugar; and brother, Burt "Bud" Lugar. Survived by her children, Mike (Evelyn) Rice, Debbie (Gary) Kifer and Gary (Renae) Rice; many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Family will receive friends from 4-7 pm on Monday, May 15, 2017 at the HOPE and HEART FUNERAL HOME by SCHOEDINGER, 3030 W. Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio where funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at 10:00 am with Pastor Bruce Bell officiating. Interment Sunset Cemetery.
