Lester L. Gandy

Lester Lewis Gandy, 55, passed away Sunday, June 28, 2015. He was born January 18, 1960 in Georgiana, Alabama. Les worked many years as a subcontractor through Nelson Tree Service. He was a crazy Alabama Roll Tide football fanatic. He loved his grandchildren dearly and enjoyed going to their events. He is preceded in death by his father, Irvin Gandy and brother, LeRoy Gandy. Les is survived by his wife of 37 years, Gayle Gandy; son, Stephen (Megan Bailey) Shugart; grandchildren, Koryn "Boobie", Nathaniel "Dog", and Emma Shugart; mother, Myree Gandy; brother, Willie (Elizabeth) Gandy; sisters, Gladys Gandy, Margaret "Ann" Gandy, and Dorothy (Alfonzo) Tillman; and many other relatives and dear friends. Visitation will be 1-2 PM Friday, July 3, 2015 at the SCHOEDINGER HILLTOP CHAPEL, 3030 W. Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio where funeral service will follow at 2 PM.
