Our beautiful devoted mother, loving wife, adored daughter, sister, and faithful friend, Lisa Gwilym was called by Jesus July 12, 2025, surrounded by her family. Lisa was born in Columbus, OH to her late parents, SharmaLee and Alex J. Pieramico. Lisa dedicated 30 years of her life to Mount Carmel East, where she held many roles and formed meaningful friendships along the way. We are comforted in knowing she is now fully healed and at peace in the presence of God and surrounded by family who were called before her.
Lisa had a gift for lifting others up, even in the hardest moments. Her warmth, her laughter, and her kind spirit filled every room she entered. No matter what life brought, she chose to stay hopeful, and her positivity was a light to everyone around her.
Lisa cherished nothing more than being a mother to her daughters. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures, spending time with her family and friends, sipping a warm cup of coffee, and soaking up the sun while swimming or working in her beloved garden. She had a special fondness for watching the squirrels, birds, and bunnies that visited her yard, often smiling at their playful ways. Her love for nature, quiet moments, and laughter-filled family time reflected the warmth and peace she carried in her heart.
Lisa faced breast cancer with incredible courage, grace, and unwavering faith. Even in the midst of her own struggle, she reached out to others walking the same path—offering comfort, strength, and hope to anyone she could. She became an advocate for those fighting cancer, always reminding them they weren’t alone. Her strength was not just in how she fought, but in how she gave, right up to the very end. In death, she continued her legacy of love and generosity by donating her sight, giving the gift of vision to someone in need.
She is survived by her husband, Michael Gwilym, daughters, Michelle (Khari) Chinn and Alexis Gwilym;, siblings Nadine (David) Spires, Martin Pieramico (Jonathan), and Mary (John) McAvoy, nieces, nephews, cousins, and special and dear friends who loved and cherished her.

2 Timothy 4:7–8
“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day, and not only to me, but to all who have longed for his appearance”.
Lisa’s love, legacy, and faith will live on in each of us, until we meet again.
