

Lois Maclean Guda, 87, of Columbus, entered into rest Monday, July 29, 2013. She was born March 11, 1926 in Columbus to the late Archie and Eleanor Maclean. Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph James Guda, and brothers, John and Hayden Maclean, and her lifelong friend and fellow Westminster-Thurber resident Glenn Oliver. She is survived by her loving sons David (Wendy) Guda, Robert (Kathy) Guda, and John (Deborah) Guda and her sister, Mary Krumm. Lois’ fondest moments were spent with her family and especially grandsons Chris Guda and Mike (Irene) Guda; grandchildren Jamie, Jack, and Joseph Guda and their mother, Jeannie Fitzpatrick. Lois was a graduate of the University School and The Ohio State University – and was a lifelong Ohio State sports fan. She taught elementary school in the Columbus system and for many years pre-school at St. Mark’s Church. Lois was a longtime member of Broad Street Presbyterian Church, enjoyed staying in touch with old friends from TWIG and the Kappa Alpha Theta sorority and new friends at Westminster-Thurber where she lived the past three years. A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 10 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel Westminster-Thurber, 717 Neil Ave., Columbus, OH 43215.
