Lowell E. Durban, age 88, of Columbus, died Monday, May 15, 2017 at First Community Village. He was born February 8, 1929 on a farm in Western Franklin County. He was a graduate of Hilliard High School, class of 1947. He was a farmer and Norwich Township Volunteer Fire Fighter. He was the first appointed Fire Marshall of Brown Township. He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Mary Hamilton Durban; sister, Mary Louise Conn; and brother, Marvin L. Durban. Lowell is survived by his children, Kristine (Bill Walton), Larry (Michelle), James (Judy), Glen (Alevia), and Kevin (Maricris) Durban; grandchildren, Zachary, Erin, Kyle, Ashley, and Evan; 5 great grandchildren; nephew, David (Debbie) Conn. A graveside service will take place at 2:00pm Friday, June 2, 2017 at Alton Cemetery, Alton-Darby Creek Road, Galloway, OH; arrangements by Hope and Heart Funeral Home by Schoedinger.
