Lowell Gene Price

A celebration of life service for Lowell Gene Price 76, will be held on Monday July 12, 2010 at 7:00 pm at the Schoedinger Funeral Home North East Chapel 1051 E. Johnstown Rd. Gahanna, Ohio with Pastor Ed Sutherland officiating. Interment, private.

On July 8, 2010 Gene passed away at his residence in Columbus. He was born on March 9, 1934 to the late William W. and M. Eva Price in Floyd Kentucky. Gene grew up in Gallipolis, Ohio where he met the love of his life, the late Sheila Ann Taylor Price. They celebrated over 44 wonderful years together. Gene proudly served in the United States Air Force during the end of the Korean War. Gene had a very colorful career, working on the pipe line in Alaska to retiring from Lucent Tech. in Columbus. According to his family he was a mechanic at heart and enjoyed his Cadillacs. You didn’t disturb him during the evening news on Channel 10 when Andrea Cambern was anchoring. A family man, he had a nickname for everyone in his family, and everyone else.

Survivors include his children Randy Price of Columbus, Penni (Roger) Yontz of Columbus, Jay (Sheri) Price of Blacklick, Steve (Lisa) Price of Westerville; grandfather of Amanda “Big Eye”, Alana “Munchkin” Taylor “Whitehead”, the twins Faith and Heaven “Monkeys”; Great grandfather of Gracie “Little eye”; brother of Wayne (Sonya)Price, Ed (Ethel) Price, Don (Debbie) Price, Bonnie Burnette. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Along with his Wife and Parents, Gene is preceded in death by Brother Bill Price and 3 Grandchildren. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday prior to the service from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
