Lynn Francis Green

Lynn Francis Green, 72, died Wednesday, January 20, 2016, after a brief illness at Shell Point Hospice Care Center in Fort Myers, FL.

Lynn was born in Newark, NJ, and most recently resided in Buckeye Lake, OH, with her beloved husband Tom. Lynn met her husband at Youngstown State University in 1963 and they have had a beautiful love affair ever since. They celebrated 50 years of marriage this past February.

Lynn graduated from YSU with a degree in Education. She then went on to teach at a school in Meadville, PA, before moving to the Columbus area in 1969. Her greatest passion and dedication was to her family, including Tom and their daughter Kristen, grandchildren Alex and Jack, her close friends and her favorite furries. Lynn was quite the tennis player and loved the competition, but she enjoyed the camaraderie with her friends much more. In 2000, Lynn became a Grandma to Alex and in 2001, to Jack. These kids, in her words, "were her world." And in Alex and Jack's world, Lynn was their Teddy Grams! Lynn took her roles as wife, mother, grandmother, and friend very seriously, always making sure she was there when needed and an exemplary role model to all. She gave everything she had for everyone she loved. So she will be sorely missed, but will live on forever in all of our hearts.

Survived by her beloved husband Tom, her daughter, Kristen Brinkman (Chip Tell), her two grandchildren Alexandra "Alex" and John "Jack" Brinkman, special ones Piper and Charlie Tell, Youngstown family, many close friends, and her furries Skylar and Tebow.

Visitation will be on Tuesday January 26, 2016 from 1-3 PM and 5-7 PM at SCHOEDINGER MIDTOWN CHAPEL, 229 E State St. Columbus, OH 43215. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 AM on Wednesday January 27, 2016 at Church of St Edward The Confessor, 785 Newark-Granville Rd. Granville, OH 43023. Monsignor Enke Celebrant
