Lynn was born November 25, 1946, second of eleven children to the late David and Florence Polasky Messmer.
Two of the children, Donna and Lisa, preceded Lynn through that veil separating this place from eternal peace.
In addition to her son, Joe, Lynn is survived by her siblings David, Gail, Greg, Laurie (Jon DiSabato), Denny (Carol Tindall), Kim and Kevin (Melissa).
Her remaining survivors include many cousins, nieces, nephews, grandnephews, grandnieces, grandchildren and friends, all of whom will miss her radiant smile.
Lynn is a proud graduate of Bishop Hartley High School, Class of 1964. She has been a faithful fan of the OSU Buckeyes, and hoped to witness them bringing home another National Championship (O-H!)!
She went on to become a career member of management at JC Penney Distribution Center where she led teams with wisdom, integrity and kindness.
Lynn spent leisure time sketching, painting and sewing creations that she shared with family and friends. Most importantly, Lynn treasured her ultimate role as Mom to Joe and was exceptionally proud of all his accomplishments in sports and in life.
We would like to express our deep gratitude to Capital City Hospice, especially Lynn, Kisha and Tonya, who provided gentle care during the last several months of this brutal, heartbreaking illness.
No services are planned.
Please spend time with your loved ones and remember Lynn, especially during this Christmas season.
We have been blessed to share life with Lynn, the embodiment of love, humor and joy.
We are all better for having known Lynn and experienced her loving kindness.
