Lynne was a proud graduate of Lancaster High School. She attended Ohio Wesleyan University for a year before transferring to The Ohio State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Education. Lynne dedicated her career to teaching in Columbus City Schools, focusing on helping special needs students succeed. Her patience, dedication, and compassion left a lasting impact on the many lives she touched.
During her time at OSU, Lynne was involved in several organizations, including the honor society, Buckeye Girls State, and Delta Delta Delta Sorority. A lifelong Buckeye, she never missed a chance to cheer on her team, especially during the thrilling rivalry games against Michigan.
Lynne’s passions extended beyond education. An accomplished and avid quilter, she lovingly crafted beautiful gifts for family, friends, and charitable causes. Her intricate designs and warm-hearted creations reflected her care and attention to detail.
One of Lynne’s greatest joys was her family. She especially cherished her husband Cloyce’s sense of humor and treasured reminiscing with friends and family over shared memories. Her love of music was also central to her life; she often found comfort in the soothing lyrics of "Amazing Grace" and the vibrant tunes of Barry Manilow.
Lynne is survived by her daughter Laurie, her son Jeff, her sister Anne Richards Clark, and her devoted husband Cloyce. She was preceded in death by her parents Helen and John Richards and her sister Karen Richards McGinnis.
Lynne’s legacy of love, kindness, and devotion to family and education will be remembered by all who knew her.
