

She was born February 2, 1946, in Andover, New York, the fifth child of the late Dr Howard and Lila Leahy.
Margaret grew up in Pendleton, Indiana, and graduated from Pendleton High School in 1964, where she met her future husband Doug.
After high school, she pursued a degree as an x-ray technician at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. Doug and Margaret married in 1968 and settled in Columbus, Ohio.
After raising her three children, Margaret worked in retail for several years including Lazarus and Marshall Fields. She retired from IGS Energy where she worked in customer service.
Margaret took much pride in her Irish heritage, traveling to Ireland and learning about her family history. She loved watching Buckeye football, working on her garden, tending to her orchids, debating politics and cheering on her grandchildren in all of their endeavors.
Along with her parents, she is also preceded in death by her brothers Robert and William Leahy. As well as mother-in-law Maxine Noel, father-in-law Sherman Noel; and father-in-law Adam Dickson.
She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Doug; son Andrew of Colorado Springs, Colorado; daughter Erin (Brian) Frank of Columbus, Ohio; daughter Kathryn (Adam) Ueberroth of Columbus, Ohio. Five grandchildren: Isobel Dickson of Dublin, Ireland; Grace and Jonathan Frank, and Natalie and Miles Ueberroth all of Columbus, Ohio.
She is also survived by brother Howard (Roselie) Leahy of Indianapolis, Indiana, and sister Mary (Charles) Welch of Easton, Connecticut, along with many other family and friends who will sadly miss her.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 15, 2026 from 10:00 – 11:30am at Schoedinger Northwest, 1740 Zollinger Road in Upper Arlington, where a Memorial Service will follow at 11:30am that afternoon. Interment will follow at Union Cemetery.
