Marius (Buz) S. Christensen, Jr., age 92, died August 21, 2024, in Upper Arlington at the age of 92. Predeceased by his parents, Marius S. Christensen and Anne Cornell Christensen. Survived by his wife of 62 years, Shirley; daughters, Jennifer Christensen, Melissa Christensen; son, Matthew Christensen; sisters Alicia Ochs-Smith, Karen Forgrave; and numerous nieces and nephews. Buz graduated from Hilliard High School in 1950 and Ohio Wesleyan University in 1954 and is a member of the Beta Theta Pi fraternity. Formerly employed by Buckeye Federal Savings and Loan and retired from the City of Columbus, Development Department. He was active in the Savings and Loan Institute (past President), Board of Directors of the Seal of Ohio Girl Scout Council, Westerville and Eastern Sertoma Clubs, and Upper Arlington Senior Center. Family and friends may call at Schoedinger Northwest, located at 1740 Zollinger Rd., Upper Arlington, Ohio, on Friday, August 30, 2024, from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Columbus Humane in his memory.
