Marjorie "Susie" Ann Dover

Marjorie A Dover (Susie) of Columbus, Ohio, passed away on May 21, 2024, at the age of 86. Susie was born on May 22, 1937, to parents Nicholas and Clara Strauss and grew up in the German Village area. She graduated from South High School in 1956 and later that same year she married the love of her life, Don Dover. Susie worked for four years as a dental assistant and then went to Columbia Gas where she stayed until she retired. In her free time, Susie loved spending time with her family and going to garage sales. She was an avid reader and liked tending to her flower garden. She was also active in the Ladie’s Shrine where she would dress up as a clown and entertain kids during holiday events. After she retired, Susie spent every Wednesday going to lunch and a movie with her Columbia Gas friends. Susie will be remembered fondly for her fun-loving stories and laughter.

Susie was preceded in death by her brothers, David, Nicholas and Harry. She is survived by her nieces Christy, Denise, Stephanie, nephew Nick and many great-nieces and nephews. No service is planned. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
