

Marjorie L. Hill, 82, of Upper Arlington passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family and friends. She was born January 1, 1933 in Harrisville, Ohio to the late Craig L. and Leona L. Seebirt. She graduated from Adena High School in 1950. She married her high school sweetheart, Richard Hill, and together they shared 62 wonderful years. Marjorie graduated from the Ohio Valley General Hospital School of Nursing, Wheeling, WVa. In 1953. Over the years she held many nursing positions which included: Lebonaur Children's Hospital and US Naval Hospital (Memphis, TN), Franklin County Tuberculosis Hospital, Whetstone Convalescent Center (Asst. Director of Nurses), Westerville Convalescent Center (Director of Nurses); Riverside Family Practice, and the James Cancer Hospital. She was known for her excellent nursing skills and her compassionate caregiving. The highlight of her nursing career was at the James Canter Hospital when she received the "James Clinical Excellence in Nursing" award and was acknowledged as an "Iron Angel". She retired in 1992 and continued to volunteer for two years. Marjorie was a partner and the bookkeeper in the family business, Teddy Bareskins Children's Store in Dublin, OH. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Dorothy Navidzadeh. Those left to cherish her memories are her loving husband, Richard L. Hill; brother, James (Connie) Seebirt, Ojai, CA; daughters Chrystal (Mark) Elliott and Sonia (Michael) Puccetti; sons Jeff Hill and Glenn (Amy) Hill; grandsons Ryan (Jennie) Gill, Christopher Cody Puccetti, Brandon Hill, Dylan Hill; granddaughters, ,Meredith (Chris) Hill-Ciesielski, MD, Brittany (Austin) Hill Janowski, Lexy Elliott and Samantha Hill; and beautiful great grandchildren Jett and Charlie Rae Janowski, Walker Gill and Jude Ciesielski; several nieces, nephews and many friends. She filled our lives with many happy memories - her love of family, her bright smile, big family dinners, and all the wonderful experiences at Indian Lake, especially with all her grandchildren. Marjorie lived a loving and purposeful life. She loved her family dearly and taught us all how to give of ourselves generously. Marjorie was a woman of faith and a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church for 48 years. We would like to thank her amazing team of caregivers- Judy Layton, Shannon Greene, Cosette Schweikert and OhioHealth Hospice. Then on Thursday, June 11th, from 10:00- 11:00 am at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 2070 Ridgecliff Road, Upper Arlington, where funeral service will be held at 11:00 am with Rev. Tracy Keenan officiating. Interment to follow at Union Cemetery.
