Mark was a great friend in the late 1980's when I was working with the Ohio State chapter.  He took my wife and I to the OSU - Michigan game and was so very fun.  I just found out about his passing today.

Kyle and Aaron, I was so saddened to learn of  your father's passing.  Mark and I were friends since first grade, we even rode the school bus together along with Nornny.  There were many great times growing up together in Rootstown, especially in the band.  We were all very proud when he made it in the OSU Marching Band.  I remember coming down to watch him and going to a band party with him after the game.  Your dad was always fun to be around.  He will be missed.  You have my deepest sympathy.

I'm so sorry about the loss of your father.  Your father played such an important role in our fraternity. He was there to lend a helping hand.  Hell, he even brought ME over to your house to spend Thanskgiving with your family.   

Although, he is gone, his spirit lives on with all of us!

I remember Mark Perks as such a smart, witty, good-looking, TALL guy.  I had the pleasure of going with him to his Senior Prom.  He was one of the best trumpet players I've known and we had such a grand time while in the Rootstown band.  While Mark was in the marching band for OSU (The best damn band in the land) me and some friends went to watch/visit…good-times!  Just like so many of those from the class of the 76', Mark will forever hold a special place in my mind of years gone-by too quickly. I was lucky enough to know Mark for a short while.  His passing marks a sorrowful time for all of us, but I have no doubt he is already getting plenty of laughs in heaven.

So sorry to hear of Marks passing. He was to young to go. Mark and I played together in Rootstown. I also played trumpet. He always had the talent to keep me on my best. I am so glad he took the talent to the next level. I really respected him for that! RIP my friend!!

I extend my condolences to Mark's family.  He and I were classmates at Rootstown High School (Class of 1976).  Mark was funny and full of life.  Please know that I am praying for everyone touched by his passing.

I will always remember Mark as a very kind and generous soul. Mark and I first met in the OSUMB and later became close friends and neighbors in Upper Arlington. My two boys Chris (1988-2006) and Matt grew up with Kyle and Aaron and I will always remember the times they spent swimming and playing baseball together on teams Mark and I coached. 

Mark left an indelible impression on everyone he met and developed a special bond with those he spent the most time with. I feel blessed and fortunate to be able to have called him a true friend.
