Martha A Maite

Martha A. Maite, age 69 of Buckeye Lake, passed away Monday, October 17, 2011. Martha was born in Akron, Ohio, daughter of the late Dominic and Adele DiMascio. Also preceded in death by her husband, Antimo “Tim” Maite. Martha was a very strong and compassionate woman who was always willing to help anyone in need. She worked as a nurse for her entire career, and felt like she made the most difference working in geriatrics. In addition to her work, Martha was also extremely passionate about her family. She was very proud of her children and grandchildren and loved nothing more than to spend time with them. She was an active parishioner of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church and a member of the Buckeye Lake Yacht Club. She was a dog lover who enjoyed shopping, spending time with her girlfriends, boating, and making homemade cards. Martha will be greatly missed by her children, Anthony (Jennifer) Maite, Alice (Russ) Dillion, Andrew (Michelle) Maite, and Vincent (Lori) Maite; grandchildren, Kyle Maite, Anna Dillion, Paul Dillion, Elizabeth Maite, Charlotte Maite, and Adrianna Maite; brother Joseph (Beverly) DiMascio; and many other extended family members and dear friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 A.M. Friday, October 21, 2011 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, 5133 Walnut Rd., Buckeye Lake. Family will receive friends from 4-8 P.M. Thursday at SCHOEDINGER EAST CHAPEL, 5360 E. Livingston Ave., where a prayer service will begin at 7:30 P.M. Father William J. Ferguson, Celebrant. Interment Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, Pataskala.
