

Martha Tate, age 97, passed away on Thursday, November 29, 2012. She was born in Port Washington, Ohio, on January 12, 1915, to the late Ben and Grace Glazer. After high school, she attended nursing training at Grant Medical Center. She worked for several years at Sanese Catering Service at Lazarus, but her passion was caring for her home and family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Oliver J. Tate; daughter, Carol Peterson; son-in-law, Donald Peterson; and siblings, Clifford and Rachel Glazer. Martha is survived by her sister, Mildred Glazer; grandchildren, Bryan (Hope Armentrout) Peterson and Kara Peterson; and great grandson, Marcus Tate Peterson. She was a member of Linworth United Methodist Church and Knolls Garden Club. Special thanks to the staffs at Worthington Christian Village where Martha spent her last 14 years, and HomeReach Hospice for their wonderful compassion and care. Family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. with a funeral service beginning at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, December 4, 2012, at the SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Road.
