

Martin D. Hardyman, Sr. age 61 of Orient passed away unexpectedly Thursday, August 16, 2018. Marty was born in Columbus and graduated from Central High School Class of 1975. Marty had over 20 years of service as a supervisor at the Columbus City Schools Fort Hayes Bus Compound. He loved to use his car skills to fix friends cars and help them out. He was a natural mechanic. He enjoyed all things automotive including truck pulls and drag racing. He enjoyed hosting parties for family and friends especially during the Commercial Point Homecoming. He never met a stranger. He is preceded in death by his father Herman L. Hardyman; and son Michael D. Hardyman. He is survived by his son Martin D. (Molly) Hardyman, Jr.; mother Ruby I. Planck; soulmate Debbie Taylor; brother Daniel (Susan) Hardyman; sister Theresa Hardyman; grandchildren Jacob, Kiley, Kaleb, and Karson; nieces Heather, Amanda, Jennifer, and Megan; nephew Jarod; and his work family. Family will receive friends 1-6 PM Sunday and 9-10 AM Monday at the Schoedinger Grove City Chapel 3920 Broadway where the funeral service will be held 10 AM Monday. Rev. Fr. Leo Connolly officiating.
