

Mary Agnes Baldwin Brown (affectionately known as MiMi) age 77, passed away peacefully in her home on Wednesday, September 4, 2013. She was born in Ashtabula, Ohio on May 31st, 1936 to the late Ray F. and Bessie E. Baldwin.
She attended Ashtabula High School and studied at Ohio University, graduating in 1958 with a degree in Music Education. She met Philip P. Brown (Papa), the love of her life, while in college and the two were married in Athens, Ohio on January 11th, 1958. They celebrated 52 years of marriage before his passing in 2010.
She taught music in the greater Athens area and was also a preschool teacher for 10+ years at the Linworth United Methodist Church. In addition to being a loving wife, mother and grandmother, she volunteered as a choir director as well as participating as a singer herself.
She is survived by son, Breck (Holly); daughter, Bridget (Jay); daughter, Brenda (Serf); beloved grandchildren, Taylor, Jordan, Grayson, Chase, Cody, Casey, Brandon, Bryceson and Brian; brother, Peter Baldwin (Rowena). She watches us from above; side by side with her husband, Phil, her baby girl Vicky Grace (died 9/6/58) and our savior Jesus Christ.
Friends may call Tuesday at Westerville Community United Church of Christ, 770 County Line Rd. Westerville, OH 43081 from 5:30-7pm, where a memorial service will be held at 7pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
