Mary Frances Brown

Mary Frances Brown, 81, of Circleville, formerly of Chillicothe, passed away Thursday, January 31, 2013 at Circleville Care & Rehab. She was born February 7, 1931 in Sandyville, West Virginia, the daughter of Sumpter and Ola (Balderson) Archer. She was preceded in death by her parents: her sister, Evelyn Wells; and brothers, Jack, Wayne and Jerry Archer.

Mary Frances graduated from Ripley (WV) High School in 1949 and Mountain State Business College in Parkersburg. She retired from JC Penney in Chillicothe. Mary Frances enjoyed traveling, needlework, watching golf matches on TV and working crossword and jigsaw puzzles.

Mary Frances is survived by her children, Tom (Lori) Brown, Jr. of Circleville; Mary Jane (Michael) Celentano of Allen, TX; and Joe (Traci) Brown of Circleville; grandchildren, Annisa and Jenina Brown, Chelsea and Ryan Brown, Amanda (John) Fischelli and Kirstin Celentano; great-grandchildren, Camille and Evelyn Fischelli; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Archer, Janice Archer and Janet Archer, all of West Virginia; many nieces and nephews and their families.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday, February 4, 2013 at Defenbaugh- Wise-Schoedinger Funeral Home, 151 E. Main St., Circleville, with The Rev. Dr. Gerhard Kraus officiating. Burial will be in Forest Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-5 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home.
