

Mary "Molly" Brownlee born June 14, 1939. Preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Kathleen Miller and husband of 42 years, Dr. T. Robert Brownlee. She attended Purdue University where she became a member of Kappa Alpha Theta and thereafter graduated from The Ohio State University in 1961 with a degree in Hospital Dietetics. Molly believed strongly in serving her community, and over the years volunteered her time to a number of causes with a special focus on the arts including the following: chair of the "Discovery Series" of Columbus Junior Theatre of the Arts; President of Bravo Unit of Columbus Symphony Orchestra which developed "The Lollipop Concerts"; co-chair of the founding committee for Columbus Association for the Performing Arts; board of directors of Pleasure Guild of Children's Hospital and Childhood League; President of the Junior League of Columbus; Ballet Met Board of Trustees; Board of Trustees of Players Theatre and Phoenix Theatre; President of the Upper Arlington Foundation; member of Franklin Park Conservatory Women's Board; Founding member of Board VII Women's Service Board of Riverside Methodist Hospital and chair of the tennis committee and the women's golf association of Scioto Country Club. Molly received CJTA Volunteer of the Year award in 1972 and was chosen by Rotary Club to be one of five Northwest Women of the Year in 1977. Molly was a longtime member of St. Agatha Catholic Church and Scioto Country Club. She enjoyed playing bridge, tennis, golf, traveling and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Known as "MiMi" to her nine grandchildren, Molly especially looked forward to Sunday evening dinners and annual Christmas vacation trips. Molly valued her lifelong friendships, some of which date back to the "Dirty Half Dozen" at St. Catherine's (Bexley, Ohio). Molly is survived by her son, Bo (Courtney) Brownlee; daughters, Cathy (George) Cleary and Sara (Chip) Greenlee; grandchildren, George, Molly, Betty, Chase, Mary Kate, Eddie, Robert, Bridget, and Garrett; brothers, Mike and Denny Miller; and many other relatives and dear friends. Visitation will be 5-8 pm Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at the SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Rd., Upper Arlington. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 am Thursday, June 30, 2016 at St. Agatha Catholic Church, 1860 Northam Rd. Upper Arlington, OH 43221.
