Mary E. Dixon Burris

Mary Eileen (Dixon) Burris, 68, of Newark, passed away Wednesday, February 29, 2012 in Newark. She was born July 2, 1943 in Newark, the daughter of the late Otto Jr. and Doris (Condit) Dixon. She was a member of the Newark Church of Christ and Dawes Arboretum. Mary enjoyed the outdoors and flower gardening and walked 5 miles a day when she was able. She had a big heart and was very loving, not only to her friends and family but also to her cats. She will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Elmer B. Burris; daughters, Beverly (Dennis) Telepchak and Pat (Jerry) Hoffer; grandchildren, Erin Telepchak and Megan and Brian Hoffer; sisters, Sharon (Ralph) Nethers of St. Louisville and Betty (Tom) Parish of Buckeye Lake; brother, Russell Dixon of Arkansas; mother-in-law, Lillian Burris; brother- and sister-in-law, Ed and Sharon Burris of St. Louisville; nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, March 3, 2012 at Cedar Hill Cemetery Chapel with Minister Ralph Nethers officiating. Friends may call from 6-8 P.M.
