Mary Jo Hackett

Mary Jo Hackett (nee Veit), age 80, of Columbus, Ohio passed away peacefully on April 7, 2013 at Altercare of Hilliard. Mary Jo was born December 1, 1932 in Columbus to the late Clarence and Margaret (Schwartz) Veit; also preceded in death by her husband, Michael R. Hackett, Sr.; brother, Roger Veit and brother-in-law James Powers. Mary Jo graduated from St. Mary of the Springs High School, retired from Crittenton Services for Children and Families and was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church where she was involved in the Fifty Plus Club. She is survived by her children, Michael R. (Mary) Hackett, Jr., Elizabeth “Liz” Blower-Woods (Jeff Woods) and Stephen J. (Lisa) Hackett; grandchildren, Jeremy (Megan), Christopher, Kevin (Rhonda), Michelle (Victor), Jason (Niki) and Jeff; 5 great-grandchildren; sister, Donna Powers; sister-in-law, Edythe Veit; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8pm Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at Schoedinger Hilltop Chapel, 3030 W. Broad St., Columbus, OH 43204; Mass of Christian Burial 10am Thursday, April 11, 2013 at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, 435 Norton Rd., Columbus, OH 43228; Fr.
