

Mary Lou Knapp, 69, of Gahanna, OH, formerly of Fishers, IN, entered into eternal rest Saturday, August 31, 2013. She was born January 11, 1944 in Indianapolis to the late G.L.(Louie) and Mary E. Diver. Mary Lou was a (1962) graduate of Scecina Memorial H.S. During her life, she found great strength and enjoyment in her Catholic Faith and was an active member of the Holy Spirit Parish at Geist (IN), St. Matthew the Apostle Catholic Church (Gahanna, OH) and the Church of the Resurrection (New Albany, OH). She also enjoyed being a member of the Red Hat Club in Fishers until she moved back to Ohio six months ago to be closer to family. Mary Lou was living at The Worthington in Gahanna where she took pleasure in many activities including shopping, dining, parties and games. She was a very social lady, cherishing every moment spent with her many friends and family. She will be remembered most for her extensive thoughtfulness and her love of laughter and all things silly! Mary Lou will be deeply missed by her loving children, Amy R. (Rick Sklenar) Knapp and James A. (Amber) Knapp; grandchildren, Amanda and Ally Sklenar, Kerri Sklenar, and Gabrielle and Andrew Knapp; sisters, Deanne (Bob) Bengston and Kathy (Monty) Barker. Family will receive friends Monday, September 9, 2013 from 10 a.m. to 12 Noon at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd. (at Beecher Rd.), Gahanna, OH. Mass of Christian Burial will follow visitation at 1 p.m. Monday at St. Matthew the Apostle Catholic Church, 807 Havens Corners Rd., Gahanna, OH, Fr. Ryan Schmit, Celebrant. Entombment will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
