Mary Pat Wallace

Mary Pat Wallace, age 88, of Upper Arlington, Ohio, passed away on Friday, July 21, 2017. She was born February 24, 1929 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Joseph and Grace Griffith. Mary Pat proudly graduated from North High School and The Ohio State University where she was a member of the Epsilon Chapter of Delta Gamma Fraternity. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church for over 60 years. Mary Pat worked at the Delta Gamma Fraternity Executive Offices and was very active over the years with The Childhood League, Pleasure Guild and Vaud Villities. She never missed a performance or sporting event by her children or grandchildren. Some of her most treasured times were spent vacationing with her family on Sanibel Island where she organized activities with new friends on the beach and was known to have paper wad wars with her grandchildren in restaurants. She always had kind and encouraging words for everyone she came upon and found good in everyone. She is preceded in death by her husband, Don Wallace and her brother, Joseph Griffith, Jr. She will be deeply missed by her children, Robert (Carol) Wallace, Jan Wallace and Scott Wallace; grandchildren, Brandon (Carrie) Wallace, Kristen (Lee) Robertson, Lauren Wallace, Joe Wallace and Madeline Wallace; great-grandchildren, Ella and Hunter Wallace. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 from 4-7pm at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Road, Upper Arlington, Ohio 43221. A funeral service will be held at 10am, Thursday, July 27, 2017 at Trinity United Methodist Church, 1589 Cambridge Blvd, Columbus, Ohio 43212. Interment to follow at Union Cemetery, 4439 Olentangy River Road, Columbus, Ohio. Contributions in her honor can be made to Young Life, 3587 N.
