Mary Walters

Mary Margaret (Peggy) Walters passed away on December 3, 2014 at the age of 92. She was born November 22, 1922 to the late William and Elizabeth Ward in New Straitsville, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, William T. Walters in 2012 and, sorrowfully, by two of her daughters, Jane in 1987 and Judith in 2014 and six siblings. Peggy's life was centered around her family. More often than not she could be found in her kitchen listening to her country music and baking. She made dozens and dozens of wonderful Christmas cookies and was not above sharing some with the dogs she loved so much. Although her favorite color was purple, her life was decorated with "red birds". Peggy is survived by and will be missed by her daughter, Jacqueline (Phillip) Zimmerman and her son, William D. (Susan) Walters. She was happily the grandma to eight and great-grandma to five. She leaves behind her sister, Norma Gray and extended family and friends. A Memorial Service will be held in her honor on Saturday, December 27,2014 at Schoedinger Funeral Home, 6699 N. High St., Worthington OH 43085.
