Matthew John Kieffer

Matthew J. Kieffer, age 90, of Columbus, OH, went to be with Lord on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at Mother Angeline McCrory Manor. He was born in Bethlehem, PA to the late Alphonso and Margaret Kieffer. He was a retired District Manager with REA Express Inc. and a WWII Army veteran. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Joyce Kieffer; wives, Helen Dorothy Kieffer and June Rose Kieffer; daughters, Jane L. Glick and Joan M. Frazier. He is survived by his sister, Marjorie Gillick of Philadelphia, PA; son, Laurence of Nashville, TN; step-son, William (Phyllis) Dempsey of Grove City, OH; step-daughter, Judi (Tom) Levernier of Pataskala, OH; grandchildren, Matthew Kieffer, Eric (Christy) Kieffer, Natalie (Jack) Funk, Stephanie (Rick) McLaughlin and Charlie Reed; great-grandchildren, Laccie Kieffer, Ashlyn Kieffer, Nathan Kieffer, Killian Kieffer and Cody Reed. A memorial mass will be held at 10am on Friday, April 12, 2013 in the Chapel at Mother Angeline McCrory Manor, 5199 E. Broad St., Columbus, OH 43213, where family will receive friends beginning 30 minutes prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Mother Angeline McCrory Manor. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Julie Kennedy, Nurse Practitioner with Evercare and the caring staff of Mother Angeline.
