Matthew Alan Worthington

Matthew Alan Worthington, age 38, of Grove City, Ohio passed away unexpectedly on March 16, 2011. He was born February 12, 1973 in Columbus, OH to John McDowell Worthington, Sr. and Linda Sue (Dorcy) Worthington. He was a 1991 graduate of Grove City High School where he played on the football team. He attended IUPUI, The Ohio State University and was a recent graduate of Fortis College with an associate degree in nursing. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church and an avid NASCAR fan. Matt loved the outdoors; whether he was riding in the wind, deer hunting, or just walking with his girls near the Darby Creek Woods, it was where he was happiest. Along with his parents, he is survived by his wife, Laura Lee (Minch) Worthington; daughters, Audrey Nicole and Eva Marie; brothers, John (Laura) Worthington, Jr. and Michael Darcy (Sara Chase) Worthington; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Terry and Sue Minch; brother-in-law, Lou Minch; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Clark and Beulah Worthington and Jack and Elsie Dorcy.
