

Maureen was a devout Christian and a longtime member of Atonement Lutheran Church. She lived her faith daily through her kindness, compassion, and unwavering belief in the goodness of others. Known for her creativity and supportive nature, Maureen was her family’s greatest cheerleader. She brought warmth and encouragement to everyone she met and reminded others to be happy and confident in who they are.
Maureen is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Ralph Gropper; her children: Daniel Gropper, Lesa (James) Caputo, and Todd Gropper; her grandchildren: Emma, Lucy and Joseph Caputo and Trae Myers; and her great-grandchildren: Hayden and Haylee Myers. She is also survived by her brothers, Donald (Roberta) Karger and Ronald (Elise) Karger; brother-in-law Willy Gropper; as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
In addition to her parents, Maureen was preceded in death by her sisters, Karen and Janice, and her in-laws, Carl and Emma Gropper.
Maureen was deeply loved and will be missed by all who knew her.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Schoedinger Northwest, 1740 Zollinger Road, Columbus, OH 43221. A funeral service and reception will take place on Thursday, May 1, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Atonement Lutheran Church, 1621 Francisco Rd, Columbus, OH 43220. Interment will follow the reception at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, 5600 E Broad St, Columbus, OH 43213.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Atonement Lutheran Church or Atonement Lutheran Preschool.
