Melissa Anne Whitt, age 41, of Columbus, Ohio passed away Tuesday, April 6, 2010. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents; brother, Jimmy Whitt, Jr.; and aunt, Donna Pierce. Survived by mother, Betty Whitt; sister, Kathleen (Jeff) Adams; nephew, Cody Francis; niece, Brooklyn Furrow; uncles, Don (Sue) Wilson, Walter (Joyce) Wilson, Kenny (Nancy) Wilson, and Marion Pierce; aunt, Pamela Wilson; many cousins, family members, and a host of friends and caregivers at Columbus Developmental Center and Heinzerling Developmental Center. A memorial service at Heinzerling Developmental Center will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Melissa’s honor to Heinzerling DC, 1755 Heinzerling Dr., Columbus, Ohio 43223, MRDD, The American Cancer Society, 870 Michigan Ave, Columbus, Ohio 43215, or a charity of your choice.
