Michael “Mike” Gates, age 62, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, June 10, 2012. He was a 1968 graduate of Linden McKinley High School and a Veteran of the U.S. Navy. Mike was employed by Shoe Corporation of American and Goodwill Industries. He was preceded in death by his father, Myron; and former wife, Brenda (nee White). Mike is survived by his mother, Marjorie Gates; sons, Christopher (Jennifer) Gates and Jason Niemet; granddaughters, Rylie and Calie Gates; sisters, Trish Green and Linda (Mike) Gates-Tucker; brother, Chris (Maureen) Gates; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends may call on Thursday, June 14, 2012 from 6:00PM-8:00PM with prayer service at 7:30PM at the SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL 5554 Karl Rd.
