Michael A. McKinney

Sunrise November 13, 1962, Point Pleasant, WV. Sunset August 5, 2013, Circleville, OH. He was the son of Oral and Elsie (Edwards) McKinney. He was a 1981 graduate of Southview High School and was an U.S. Army veteran, stationed near Baghdad during Desert Storm and serving from 1981-1992. Mike was a member of AMVETS Post 2256 and served on the Honor Guard.

He was employed at Tri-Modal in Hilliard as a mechanic.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and hunting mushrooms and NASCAR. Mike liked to have cookouts, was a great mechanic who could fix anything, liked hanging out with his military buddies and liked to sing and dance. He was known to change the words of songs to make it his own. Mike loved his animals and especially loved being with his family.

Mike was preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his loving wife, Kim Jones; his daughter, Andrea; his mother, Elsie, of Lorain; his sisters, Diana Carver of Warsaw, IN and Belinda Grace of Youngstown; brothers, Ray, Wilson and Tony McKinney; and many other good friends and family members.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, August 17, 2013 at Emmanuel Methodist Church, 1015 Georgia Rd., Circleville with military service provided by AMVETS Honor Guard.
