Michael Lee Shepherd

Michael Lee Shepherd, age 67, U.S. Army Veteran, passed away Saturday, February 22, 2025. He was born August 17, 1957, in Columbus, OH to the late Denver Ruppert and Alice Mae Shepherd. Michael is survived by his other half, of 33 years, Kim Kelso, daughter, Cassidy Shepherd, sister, Lori Shepherd, sister-in-law, Sherri Shepherd, nieces; Lisa and Amy Shepherd, nephew, Ricky Shepherd, and many great nephews, along with other dear family and friends. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers; Danny Allen and Rick Shepherd. Michael was a larger-than-life personality, always ready with a joke to bring a smile to anyone's face. His infectious sense of humor, kindness, and thoughtfulness left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. He was a true embodiment of strength and character; he proudly served his country with honor. His love for the great outdoors was unmatched—whether it was fishing, hunting, or golfing, he found joy in every adventure. He will be missed by all who were fortunate to know him. Family will receive friends, Friday, February 28, 2025, from 2-4PM, with a funeral service to follow at 4PM at SCHOEDINGER EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5360 E. Livingston Ave, Columbus, OH 43232.
