Michael John Simpson

Michael Simpson Williams, age 45, passed away unexpectedly on April 22, 2025. He was born in New York to the late John W. Williams and the late Beverly Simpson. At a young age his family moved to Columbus, Ohio. During his life he developed a special close and loving relationship with maternal grandmother Emma J. Williams now deceased. They encouraged and supported each other in good times and bad. Michael was a talented artist who enjoyed drawing thought provoking images. He was an excellent cook taking pride in frying chicken using his grandma’s recipe. He was resourceful, a jack of all trades in things involving home improvements. Michael is survived by his sons Marqui Williams, Mason Williams and Matthias Williams. Brothers Myron Williams and Marcus Williams. Step mother Sharon Williams. Aunts Jackie Moore and Vicki Williams. Uncle Mike (Barbara) Williams, Great uncle JC Miller. Also surviving are many cousins including special cousin Kevin Williams. Visitation will be held on Friday May 9, 2025 at Advantage by Schoedinger -Hilltop Chapel, 3030 W Broad St., Columbus, Ohio 43204 from 10AM to 11AM where the funeral service will start at 11AM. Pastor Wesley J. Moore will be officiating the service. Burial will take place in East Lawn Cemetery in Columbus, Ohio.
