

Mike S. Hoffner, age 75, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away on Friday, May 19, 2017. He was born to the late Leonard and Evelyn Hoffner at St. Ann's Hospital in Columbus on the Fourth of July 1941. Mike attended Linden McKinley High School and graduated from Central High School in 1966. He worked for the Pennsylvania Railroad and Truck Line/Excelsior Truck Leasing; he was a supervisor at Purolator Courier; and retired as a manager of Practical Burial Footwear. Mike is survived by his wife of 57 years, Ruth Hoffner; daughters, Kelly Michelle Glaze and Teresa Lynn Poe; grandchildren, Tiffany (Paul) Cornett, Erica (Caleb) Babbert, Dustin (Nicole) Glaze, and Clayton Glaze; and great grandchildren, Camden Glaze, Mason Babbert, and Cadence Babbert. He also leaves behind his beloved dogs, Snickers, Bella, and Sprinkles. He and his wife, Ruth, owned Hoffner's Antiques and Things for many years. They also raised, trained, and showed poodles from 1964-2000. Mike loved trucks, going "junking" and to flea markets. He enjoyed long car rides, working in his yard, and refurbishing furniture. Most of all he loved his dogs.
