Nancy D. Bland

Nancy Dianna Bland, age 79 of Upper Arlington, passed away Friday, August 19, 2016. Nancy was born in Mt. Perry, Ohio, daughter of the late Eugene and Audrey (McCullough) Henderson. Also preceded in death by her brother, James Henderson. Nancy began her career working as a nurse and later transitioned into pharmaceutical sales, retiring from Bayer. Her true calling was to serve and be a caregiver to others particularly her two sons, never missing a game or significant event in their lives. She was sacrificial, hardworking, and courageous. She enjoyed all things OSU sports, gardening, and playing bridge with her club of 8 women for more than 50 years. She will be greatly missed by her sons, Rob (Vanessa) and Rusty (Allison) Bland; grandchildren, Gabrielle, Shea, Presley, Madeline, Sophie, and Andrew Bland; brother, Mark Henderson; sister, Charlene Hill; and other extended family and dear friends. Family will receive friends from 4pm until 6pm, Friday, September 2 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Rd. Private family inurnment will be held at Mt. Perry Cemetery.
