

Nanette L. Cooper, age 88, of Westerville, and formerly of Polo Club Villas, Gahanna, died Friday, January 22, 2010. Nanette was born August 31, 1921 in Piqua, and was a 1939 graduate of Piqua High School. In 1943, she graduated from Ohio Northern University with degrees in Physical Education and English. Nanette and Benjamin Pearson Cooper married in 1944. Together, with their daughter, Susan, they lived in various parts of Ohio, and in Venezuela and Mexico. Ben died in Mexico in 1973, after which, Nanette lived in Michigan near her daughter and family for 24 years before moving to Columbus. Preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Loudean Looney; husband, Benjamin Pearson Cooper; brothers, John and Lee Bradley; and son-in-law, Joseph Edward “Ed” O’Donnell. Nanette will be missed by her daughter, Susan O’Donnell; grandson, Jason O’Donnell; great-grandchildren, Ainslee and Benjamin O’Donnell; and many nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends Sunday, January 31, 2010 from 1pm until the time of memorial services at 2pm at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL, 1051 East Johnstown Road, Gahanna, Ohio 43230.
