Nell Gay Rose

Nell Gay Rose, 88, of Johnstown, passed away on May 10, 2018 at Tuscany Gardens with her family by her side. Born in Pedro, Ohio on June 9, 1929 to the late James and Fannie (Robinson) Taylor, she was also preceded in death in 2008 by her husband of 60 years, Hobert; son Michael; daughter-in-law Tammy; four siblings; and four siblings-in-law. She is survived by children Carol (Mark) Soderlund, Peggy Rose, David Rose and James Rose; grandchildren Kristy (Christopher) Hannan, Shon Epling, Teresa (Brien) Palmer, Matthew Soderlund (Meghan Roll), Levi Rose, Justin Rose, Dawn Epling and Stephanie Rose; 10 great grandchildren; brother Ray Taylor; sisters Martha (Dale) Heymeyer and Othell Cousineau as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Nell was a member of Alexandria United Methodist Church, a homemaker with a gift for baking, a fondness for gardening, reading and travel, and a love of her family, especially her grand and great grandchildren. Visitation will be held Monday, May 14, 2018 from 2-3PM with a funeral service at 3PM at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd., Gahanna with Chaplain Greg Rossor officiating. Interment will follow at Green Hill cemetery, Johnstown. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society.
