

Noel Homer Corwin, passed on Thursday, January 16, 2014, at age 85. After a tough battle with Alzheimer's, he died surrounded by his family. Born in Marion, Ohio, he was the only child of Elton and Ona Corwin. Noel worked most of his career at the Kroger Co. in management and then as a food broker. He later spent many years as a salesman at the James W. Fox Co. where his strong work ethic won him many trips and top sales awards. He is best remembered for his quick whit and sense of humor. He was a basketball coach at St. James the Less, a champion go-kart racer, Nascar enthusiast, and a die hard OSU fan. Noel was preceded in death by his eldest son, Noel Gregory, in 1982. He is survived by his wonderful wife of 63 years, also from Marion, Ohio, Mary Ann (Cusick) Corwin; and loving children, Susan (Chuck) Moore, Sandra Corwin, and Noel Bradley Corwin. His pride and joy were his grandchildren, Charley and Lance Corwin, and Ryan Moore. He is also survived by his extended family and step-grandchildren, Renee Yost, Jimmy Moore, and Ashley Wagner. The Corwin and Moore families want to thank all their friends and co-workers for their love and support. Thanks to the caregivers at OhioHealth Hospice and Villa Angela for their comfort and friendship. A special thanks to neighbors, Jerry and Nancy Gerber. A service to honor Noel will be held on Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at 11:00AM at the Mausoleum Chapel at Resurrection Cemetery, 9571 N. High Street, Lewis Center, Ohio.
