Norma J. Duncan

Norma J. Duncan, age 79, went home to be with the Lord January 10, 2015. She was a member of Johnstown Presbyterian Church and previously a longtime member of Shady Lane Presbyterian Church. Norma was a graduate of Thornton Township High School, Harvey, Illinois and retired from the Defense Construction Supply Center. She loved ceramics as a hobby and quilting with friends who were members of Sherman’s March Quilt Club. Preceded in death by husband John M. Duncan, parents Charles and Jessie Tanis, Matteson, IL; siblings Betty Cohen, Mary Geserick, Charles Tanis Jr., Gloria Browning, and Thomas Tanis. A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, she is survived by daughters Sandra (Daniel) Stahl, Debra (Stephen) Hankison, Brenda (Gregory) Plassman, grandsons Paul, Luke, and Mark Plassman, and brother Richard Tanis. The family will receive friends on Thursday, from 3-6 P.M. at Schoedinger Northeast Chapel, 1051 E. Johnstown Road, Gahanna, Ohio 43230 where her Funeral Service will be held at 11:30 A.M. Friday, January 16, 2015, Rev. Kevin Heckathorn officiating. Interment at the Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
